Founded in 2022 and headquartered at Sci-Tech Daresbury, PTC Oncology partners with pharmaceutical manufacturers, universities, NHS organisations and research institutes to accelerate the development of anti-cancer medicines.

PTC Oncology exists at the intersection of pharmaceutical science and industrial-scale manufacturing. We develop the formulations, processes and analytical methods that determine whether a therapeutic reaches patients — and how well it performs when it does.
From the CTH Campus at Daresbury Laboratory, our programmes span small molecule anti-cancer medicines, sterile injectables and, in partnership with The Antibody Company (TAC), monoclonal antibody biosimilars including our lead Nivolumab programme.

Founder & Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Sameh Qanadilo
Dr. Sameh Qanadilo is Founder & Chief Scientific Officer of PTC Oncology. A pharmaceutical development scientist with more than two decades of hands-on experience across dosage forms, he has successfully developed and launched over twenty liquid injectable products and led complex, technology-driven programmes spanning hot melt extrusion, osmotic drug delivery systems, spray drying, dry powder layering and both immediate- and delayed-release solid oral formulations.
His work is grounded in QbD and DOE principles, with a deep focus on the formulation and compounding of sterile injectable oncology medicines — the therapeutic class where the demands on process control, analytical precision and manufacturing discipline are highest.
